Natural Therapies for Pain Relief and Whole-Body Wellness

Acupuncture & Bodywork

Our clinic offers acupuncture and therapeutic bodywork in Cedar Rapids designed to relieve pain, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing process.

Conditions Commonly Worked With

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a gentle and effective therapy that uses very thin needles placed at specific points on the body to stimulate natural healing. This treatment helps improve circulation, reduce pain and inflammation, relieve muscle tension, and support the nervous system. Many patients find acupuncture helpful for conditions such as chronic pain, headaches, stress, and overall wellness.

Cupping Therapy

A targeted therapy used to relieve deep muscular tension, improve circulation, and support lymphatic movement. This therapy creates gentle suction across the tissue, helping the body release, move, and restore.

Cupping may be incorporated into your session when your body would benefit from:

  • stagnant tension or tightness

  • slow recovery or soreness

  • areas needing increased blood flow

Offered as an enhancement to your care, when clinically appropriate.

Muscle Release Therapy (Scraping)

A precise technique used to break up fascial restriction, support circulation, and restore healthy tissue movement. Patients often experience a sense of lightness, warmth, and increased movement following treatment.

Using specialized tools, this therapy helps:

  • release adhered or restricted tissue

  • improve mobility and range of motion

  • support recovery from chronic tension patterns

Integrated into care based on your body’s needs.

What to Expect

  • Your session is designed to feel deeply restorative from the moment you arrive. Your initial visit begins with a thoughtful consultation where we review your health history, current concerns, goals, and overall patterns within the body. Your provider may also assess pulse points and tongue presentation — traditional tools that help guide a personalized, holistic treatment approach. Your provider will guide you through your treatment plan before settling you in to the Restoration Lounge — allowing time for quiet rest and integration.

  • You’ll be welcomed into our Restoration Lounge — a quiet, calming space intentionally designed to help your nervous system settle.

During this time, you may rest with supportive pillows, soft blankets, calming sound, and optional comforts such as an eye pillow or gentle heat lamp to help the body fully unwind.

After your treatment begins, you’ll be given uninterrupted time to relax while the body responds and restores.

Our goal is not only symptom relief, but helping the body shift into a more regulated, restorative state.

    • The needles used are extremely thin and gentle — many patients barely feel them.

    • Many people enter a deeply restful state during treatment.

    • Many patients leave feeling calmer, lighter, grounded, and deeply reset.

    • Most patients are surprised by how relaxing acupuncture feels.
